UK Government sets new deadlines to fix dangerous cladding
The UK government has announced a new target to fix all dangerous cladding by June 2029, addressing safety concerns lingering since the Grenfell tragedy.
The updated timeline aims to ensure over 9,000 affected buildings in England are made safe.Funding for the £16.6 billion remediation costs will combine public contributions and developer levies.
Affected residents will also gain access to a portal tracking the progress of building safety applications.
